Photos from some of the recent ERSA races and club national races taking place in the region can be found on the website here. Or go direct to the main set of albums. Thanks for the various parents who have taken many especially Lesley Yeung, Nick Ogden and Iain Clayton.
Two emails have been sent out recently and everyone should have received a copy if registered with SSE but is also something that should be available to all non SSE registered racers and parents.
Dear All,
We are running 2 open meetings on the weekend of 21st & 22nd July 2012 to discuss the future of Alpine Racing in the UK. We would like to obtain the views of people who are involved with racing for racers to parents to coaches to officials.
The meeting will be held at the following locations:
The results from the racing at Norfolk on Sunday have been posted here. The winners of the free Team Evolution camp places were from the JN2 age category Claire Russell and Toby Hughes, well done to both of them. Thanks to Team Evolution and Ski Bartletts for their support at the weekend.
Congratulations to Max and Claire Wheatman (NOR) and Max and Ross Hammond (BWP) on their selection for the English Ski Cross Dev Squad. Full details of the Freestyle selections can be found here.
Start lists for the races at Milton Keynes on Saturday 23rd June and Norfolk the following day can be found here.
Entries are still open with no late fee. Please go online and register if wanting to enter. http://www.ersa.co.uk If you have any questions please get in touch.
Please find attached details of our Coaching courses running in Austria next spring. These courses provide routes through the UK Snowsports Coach Award Scheme towards the Level 4 coach, which is also issued with the IVSI international licence.
All instructors and coaches can benefit from these courses. Not only will you become a better coach, your club or slope will benefit: improved customer retention has been reported at ski centres where coaches use the tools learnt from these courses.
This year the clubs in ERSA all agreed to offer our racers visiting them something extra with a GS event which was carried across all five races at Milton Keynes, Welwyn, Hemel, Norfolk and Ipswich. Last weekend saw the last two races, Norfolk on Saturday and Ipswich on Sunday.
Unsure of the distribution of the original email so please pass onto any clubs members, coaches, parents. The following message received from Andrea Grant the Chair of ASC. It is an opportunity for you to have a say about the sport in future years.
Dear All,

The Norfolk and Ipswich start lists have been published here. Hopefully the weather will hold out for the two days. If you are still interested in entering then contact the relevant race secretary.
The results from the Hemel ERSA have been posted here. Thanks to Hemel for hosting the event and all those helping in the background to make the race a success. If you have any feedback regarding the race please send it to chair@ersa.co.uk.
Well done to Alicja Krahelski and Finlay Davies for which the CH1 girls and boys categories which means they received the Team Evolution prize for the free camp place.
At the Hemel ERSA race tomorrow we will continue our trial of the Live Streaming and you can view it here http://www.ersa.co.uk/live_streaming. At the same time we will also carry out the first trial of the ERSA Live Timinghttp://www.ersa.co.uk/live_timing. Once we have proved everything works with the Live Timing we will be able to improve the information provided online in real time.
Next weekend the final two Club Nationals in ERSA will be taking place at Norfolk, Saturday 16th, and Ipswich, Sunday 17th. Both venues are always popular and a good day is always had by those taking part. The Norfolk CN will start at 9.30am and the Ipswich will be starting at the normal 8.30am. We are doing this so that people traveling a distance to Norfolk do not need to have an overnight stay on Friday. This worked very well at the recent Welwyn race.
