  • ERSA AGM Chair Report

    The ERSA AGM is taking place at Norfolk on the 17th October after the main ERSA Champs prize giving, which will be about 3pm.

    In preparation for the meeting I have issued the chair report which you can read on this page http://www.ersa.co.uk/ersa_committee.   • British Ski and Snowboard – BSS

    With the demise of SnowSportGB out of that came the new governing body British Ski and Snowboard, BSS. Attached below is a letter from the chairman Colin Moynihan which was published in March this year, which will give you some more background. The British Champs still took place this year and it looks like it will continue in 2011, the extract below gives some more information;

  • Sport England Survey Results

    Earlier this year we were all asked to fill in the Sport England Survey. If you had a bash well done as it was a bit of a lengthy survey but also because it was a Sport England survey it was very generic and some of the questions were a bit useless really but it had to be done and unfortunately SnowSport England (and any other sport for that matter) were not able to have much influence on the content of the survey.

    So the headline results have just been published here.

  • Unsung Hero in Snowsports
    Attached is a form which anyone can complete to nominate someone for a variety of categories in Snowsports.

  • SnowSport England looking for new board members

    SSE are currently looking for three new board members to join the existing team. It's a good opportunity to get involved in SnowSports are the centre. They are looking for a variety of skills and anyone can apply even from outside the sport.

  • SnOasis

    The saga of SnOasis continues, is it on or is it off? It would appear that it is more likely to be on and in recent days there has been an announcement from the Government about some additional funding for housing in the area where they plan to build the centre.     Eastern Region Snowsports Association - ERSA

    When I took over as chair of ERSA last year one of the first things I was aiming to do was start improving the communications to members. So whilst over the past few months you will have seen various emails about different things I thought I would summarise things here as a quick progress update. As always I welcome the emails, calls or just general chat about your comments and feedback.

  • Ed Drake Invite

    Ed Drake is organising a dual slalom run race at the Hemel ski centre on Saturday 24th July in the evening from 4pm through to 10pm. This is taking place the day before the Hemel Grand Prix. Ed is continuing his push to raise money to continue his racing next season. More details are attached at the bottom of this page.
