I would like to introduce myself properly before the beginning of the season as one of your coaches with Team Evolution.

My name is Sega Fairweather and I have been ski racing for 12 years. I was a member of, and raced with, the British Children's team for four years and following that I spent my first FIS season in Austria at a private training facility.

I was lucky enough to receive sponsorship that then enabled me to study, train and race at Burke Mountain Academy in Vermont, USA, for 3 seasons. Whilst there I progressed as both an athlete and developed as an individual, and learnt what it was really like to be part of a team. I was selected for the British Junior Team from 2006-2010, receiving National Team status whilst I remained with my preferred coaches and program in the US. During this time I raced in the Nor-Am series, the American version of the EuropaCup, and won numerous British Titles.

This past year I was the 3rd ranked British female skier and was based in Wagrain, Austria, - which is 5 minutes away from our base this year, St Johann - and competed for half a season before receiving the devastating news that I had no more funding and therefore no way to continue ski racing, leading to a premature retirement from the sport.

Despite this, I still have an amazing passion for the sport and I am extremely pleased that I have an opportunity to coach and to pass on everything that I have learnt during my 8 years as a member of the British Team.

I passed my CSCF Level 1 and since then have discovered how much I enjoy coaching since creating a new squad atsega1 Swadlincote and assisting Ross Green at Milton Keynes. I find it rewarding to watch the athletes achieve their goals after the effort that they have put in, and am proud to be a part of their success. I hope that with the experience that I have had I can make a difference to the future of British skiing.

I hope that having joined a professionally run program I can help make the changes that are needed in order to deliver the best, personalised program for each individual athlete.

I really look forward to meeting you all and to working with all the athletes over this coming season.
