SMK Indoor Snow Race Bulletin

Snow is a variable medium and therefore the race events can be subject to changes based on the conditions at very short notice.

Snozone Access

The Snozone will open at “approx” 7am, this is for everyone (Officials, Racers, parents, etc). Please bear with us while we try to get everything setup as quickly as possible, if you have a spare minute and see officials struggling with equipment , then offer assistance, it will help to get the day moving quicker.

Slope Access

Race officials and Racers only   No Bib - No Access (For All)

Open Practice/Course Inspection –  Helmets and  Bibs to be worn with number visible (not carried).

ERSA has use of the whole slope until end of open Practice or 9am whichever is first, the slope will be split into two and looking from bottom to top the right-hand side will be the race area. The other side will only be used during open practice. AFTER 9am the Public ONLY will have use of the left-hand and any racer using this side could be asked to leave the event.

The plan will be to set the Female course first, as soon as its set, then Females will be offered Course Inspection/ Open Practice at the same time. After that Males will be given the same opportunity.  (Estimated time each group will be 20-25 minutes)

Main Race

Every effort to have 3 run's with best 2 to count, however if course/conditions deteriorates, then this may have to be just two runs with best 1 to count, decision will be made towards the end of the second run and announced to RM's and over the PA system as soon as possible. Catsuits not allowed for BG2 and below and not recommended  for all entrants. No food or drink to be taken into the snow arena.
